A fost probabil cea mai obositoare, complicata, ciudata si frumoasa saptamana din viata mea. I-am vazut pe The Residents la Belgrad (si la ciupeala si pe Christian Death) dupa care am intrat intr-un vertij incredibil in care am pierdut  bani, laptop, ani din viata probabil. Dar am petrecut doua nopti lungi la club cu Tobin si Suzi de la Prinzhorn Dance School, Orvar si Gunnar de la Mum nu s-au last duminica dusi de la club pana la 7 dimineata, iar azi-noapte Tricky a stat cel putin 3 ore la bar, ca un “regular customer”.  Ma simt ca iesit dintr-un “reality game”.

La concertul Prinzhorn Dance School de vineri 21 noiembrie, de la clubul Control, de partea de visuals va raspunde duo-ul berlinez Steffi&Steffi.

“Steffi&Steffi is a Berlin based duo, which has been active in the realms of illustration, animation, film and video performances since 2002.

Their live-video performances are idiosyncratic mixtures of self-recorded video material and stop motion animations.

Somewhat bizarre pictures of their own bodies are portrayed and used in order to depict emotions and circumstances in an incisive and penetrating way. Everyday actions, motions, and processes, which are shown in the videos, receive a peculiar new meaning through repetitive looping.

A substantial part of the performance is found within its open dramaturgy, which follows the musical impulses and the audience.

Steffi&Steffi are associated with the French visual music label Dalbin.

Not only have they performed in numerous clubs and at various festivals throughout Germany, France, Canada, Sweden and Romania, their video installations have been shown in group exhibitions and screenings in New York City, Bucharest and Erfurt.”

Probabil cea mai importanta trupa necunoscuta (la propriu si la figurat) din lume, The Residents, este in turneu prin Europa pentru a-si promova ultimul album, “The Bunny Boy”.  Se zvoneste ca ar fi ultimul lor turneu si astfel o ocazie unica de a vedea un spectacol naucitor. 

Un “tip” pentru cei care aleg (ca mine) sa-i vada pe 18 noiembrie la Belgrad. Cei de la Eventim au fost extraordinar de prompti la cererea mea si au facut disponibile biletele pentru concert si pe site-ul romanesc, aici.  In felul asta evitati sinistrul comision de 50 de Euro pe care l-ati plati pentru curier daca ati comanda biletele de pe site-ul sarbesc.
